As an important branch of Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), the Shenzhen Institute of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University (SIEM) build its faculty team based on Tsinghua SEM's academic community and through SEM and Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS), aims to leverage the unique advantages of Tsinghua SEM in scientific research innovation, talent cultivation and global influence and focuses on the development plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. We strive to provide high-quality talents cultivation, high-level scientific research and promote the transformation of high-tech achievements and other aspects of support for Shenzhen.

Tsinghua SEM has seven departments: accounting, economics, finance, innovation, entrepreneurship and strategy, leadership and organization management, management science and engineering, and marketing. Together, these cover four first-level disciplines of theoretical economics, applied economics, business administration, and management science and engineering. As of April 1, 2022, the school has a total of 156 full-time teachers and 4 dual-appointed faculty in Tsinghua SEM Shenzhen campus. Among the full-time and dual-appointed faculty, 157 have doctoral degrees, and overseas doctorate holders account for over 60%. Four of them are fellows of renowned international society, four have won the Beijing Municipal Famous Teacher Award for Teaching, and two have been conferred the Distinguished Professorship, Tsinghua University's highest academic title for honor in the field of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. In addition, the school employs a number of Honorary Professors, Adjunct Professors, Visiting Professors and Visiting Professors of Management Practice as an important part of part-time faculty resource.

Taking full advantage of the resources of Tsinghua SEM and SIGS, the faculty at SIEM are appointed jointly by the two schools, enjoying resources of scientific research, teaching activities and university-industry cooperation at both schools. As of mid-May 2022, the faculty consists of 4 senior professors, including 3 tenured professors and 1 associate professor, all of whom are academically influential in the world and possess rich research and teaching experience.

We invite talents from all over the world, especially those leading experts and top-notch young scholars. We are committed to develop a high-level and international faculty team, carrying out scientific research and build innovative think-tank focusing on fintech, digital economy, innovation and entrepreneurship, and dual-zone construction so as to provide theoretical, intellectual, technological and talent support for Shenzhen and the Greater Bay Area and to become a pioneering demonstration area of development with Chinese characteristics and a city of innovation and creativity with global influence. In the next decades, we expect a team of about 30 tenure-track faculty with global influence, and an important international innovation and talent highland in the field of economic management will thus be created.
